How to Make that First Class Grade you desire

Many students have desires to graduate with a first class from the University. Truth is, only desires don’t make this possible. Hardwork, consistency, a crucial push, will, and force have to co-exist to make such desires realities.A first class grade in the university does not just hit a student by mistake. A student that graduates with a first class has put in energy and time to achieving it by taking intentional steps about climbing the ladder.

In this article I will reel out ways you can achieve a first class from the University.

Firstly, you the reader should be aware that you can and should make a first class in the university. Even if you think you are dull, it is not impossible. You are naturally endowed with wisdom you are yet to explore.

  1. Start the hardwork early. If you want to make a first class grade in the university, you have to start the hardwork early enough without hesitation. By early enough I mean from your first year in school. You cannot start the hardwork in your final year and achieve this. Why? A first class is based on cumulative grades from your first year.
  2. Have a good platonic relationship with your lecturers. Relationships are always a good way to climb the ladder. Not amorous relationships, Please! Make sure your lecturer knows you in officially in person. This being so, you’ll be able to reach out to him or her when you are faced with grievances.
  3. Do not miss your lectures. Sometimes, attendances are used as basis for assessments and this is the basis for good grades. If you miss a lecture, your grades suffer certain declination because of a minus in your assessment. Plus, missing lectures makes you miss the details of the course. Yes, you could read it, but being there when the lecturer gave an explanation makes it more understandable to you as a student.
  4. Have an inspiration and motivation. Most times, the journey looks like it is very boring and stressful. This times come, not just to you, but to everyone who has ever made a first class. You may begin to ask “is the stress worth it?” Whatever conclusions you come to as a result of introspection, there is always a way out. Look up the stories of people that have made first class grades, this will help you. You will see that they faced what you are currently facing. So make one of their stories your motivation. Be inspired too by their personalities.
  5. Offer to be mentored by a Professor and volunteer to be a research assistant. Relationships keep everything going. A simple act of volunteering is emotionally endearing. Your professor would be grateful if you volunteer to assist with his researches at no cost. He will overlook certain shortcomings from your angle and he will correct mistakes you make without hesitation. Being a research assistant will also give you the necessary exposure you need to make a first class. You will have access to certain books and materials other students cannot normally access.
